THE JOURNEY
Jennifer found her purpose in the holistic healing arts in 2009 after emotional turmoil and loss and the diagnosis of a thyroid auto-immune condition called Hashimotos where she had lost a tremendous amount of weight. She was determined to rebuild her happiness and create ultimate wholeness and happiness integrating health & wellness into her life. This was the basis for her foundation in finding holistic and integrative solutions to integrate sustainable health and transform lives.
Jennifer Entremont started doing massage and bodywork in 2011 and is passionate about helping people find longevity & sustainability in health and wellness. She graduated from Heritage Institute, Northern Virginia Community College, and The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She is a Surgical Tech, Massage Therapist, Intuitive Healer, Yoga Teacher, and most recently an Integrative Nutrition Holistic Health Coach.
Her expertise includes rehab to prehab movement therapy, over 10 different certifications and training in various forms of massage & bodywork, Thai yoga massage, yoga therapy, Ayurveda, and most recently during the quarantine Integrative Nutrition. She has a strong foundation in teaching yoga, after practicing for over five years, as well as an in-depth understanding of the mind-body connection. Her desire is to help her clients connect to their highest potential and help heal and ultimately transform themselves from the inside – out by utilizing a fusion of modalities on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. She would love the opportunity to connect and assist you with your healing journey.
TRAINING
Her approach to her work is the same as her approach to life: empowering, optimistic, enthusiastic, and motivating. Her massage therapy is to assist the body in healing from the inside – out. She utilizes referrals to and from other alternative and holistic health practitioners when need be for a more thorough level of medical expertise. She knows healing happens over a series of progressive sessions. Jennifer is committed to progress and restoration within a medically therapeutic treatment model. The three pillars implemented into each massage session include movement, nutrition, and recovery.
Her massage has been described as relaxing, deeply therapeutic, and knowledgeable; a massage unlike any other. Her personality has been described as fun, goal-oriented, inspiring, courageous, and motivating.
Her Yoga therapy covers a vast array of various styles of yoga including Yin, Restorative, Hatha & Integral Yoga. She loves mixing and blending the fluid-like flows together in a rhythmic blend of intentional movement.
Jennifer completed her 200-hour Yoga teacher training at Corepower Yoga in Fairfax, VA in 2013. It was yoga where she found her start in the holistic healing arts. A weekend hobby found for the comforting rhythmic flows of Vinyasa Flow in a small boutique yoga studio in downtown Manassas with an extremely outgoing, charismatic bubbly blonde bombshell yoga teacher named Kelly Tynes, who inevitably became the mentor to her very own lifelong practice. And what inevitably transformed her life and the reason why she shares her holistic therapeutic endeavors with you today.
Prior to massage and yoga therapy, Jennifer spent over 8 years in the operating room as a surgical tech. a graduate of Northern Virginia Community College in her knowledge of a vast array of surgical procedures and rehabilitative therapy. She also spent over three years practicing bodywork in a physical therapy clinic with numerous hands-on therapeutic medical interventions with all kinds of patients recovering from injuries.
For the new year, Jennifer is looking forward to continuing her education taking credits to specialize in Clinical Nutrition at the Maryland University of Integrative Health to receive her bachelor’s degree in the future. In her free time when she isn’t working Jennifer enjoys working out in the gym, cooking her favorite meals, and hosting for friends and family. She loves her 2 cats named Binx & Tux, outdoor adventures~travelling to explore new places in nature, hiking, biking, trail-running, and stand-up paddle-boarding, pilates, and gyro tonics.
